Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes for 150+ healthcare accounts, ensuring timely invoicing and payment collection
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies through direct communication with insurance providers and patients
- Generate monthly revenue reports and analyze aging reports to optimize cash flow
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and Indiana state billing regulations
- Collaborate with medical coding team to ensure accurate CPT/IC-10 assignment
- Implement process improvements reducing claim denials by 15%+ quarterly
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claim submission
- Expert proficiency in Epic EMR and Medisoft billing systems
- Professional certification (CPB, CMRS) strongly preferred
- Advanced knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10, and UB-04 forms
- Proven ability to reduce AR days by 20% in previous roles
