Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile complex medical/insurance claims with 99% accuracy
- Manage A/R aging reports and implement collection strategies
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct payer/patient communication
- Ensure HIPAA/UB-04/CMS compliance in all billing activities
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify charge capture integrity
- Analyze billing trends and optimize revenue cycle workflows
- Train staff on billing systems and regulatory updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a hospital/clinic setting
- Expertise in Epic, Meditech, or similar EHR billing modules
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC-A credential preferred
- Advanced knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/Commercial payer policies
- Proficient in Excel, SQL, and billing analytics tools
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
