Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95%+ accuracy across multiple payers
- Manage accounts receivable aging reports and resolve payment discrepancies
- Conduct patient billing inquiries with exceptional customer service
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare billing regulations
- Collaborate with coding teams to verify charge accuracy
- Generate monthly financial reports for leadership review
- Implement process improvements to reduce claim denials
Qualifications
- 3+ years of healthcare or medical billing experience
- Proficiency in Epic or NextGen EMR systems
- Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table and VLOOKUP capabilities
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage high-volume deadlines in a fast-paced environment
