Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims for medical services
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits information
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient account issues
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports daily
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers and patients
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Utilize Epic EMR systems for charge entry and coding
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience required
- Proficiency in Epic EMR and revenue cycle software
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) preferred
- Strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with third-party payers (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial)
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
