Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle operations including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve billing discrepancies through meticulous analysis of EOBs and insurance contracts
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate documentation and coding compliance
- Generate monthly reports on AR aging, denial rates, and key performance metrics
- Implement process improvements to reduce claim denials by 15% quarterly
- Train staff on billing software updates and regulatory changes (HIPAA, CMS)
- Conduct quarterly audits of billing accuracy and documentation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with RCM systems (Epic/Cerner preferred)
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding standards
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or equivalent credential required
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel with pivot table and VLOOKUP capabilities
- Proven track record of reducing AR days by 20% in previous roles
- Experience with Medicaid/Medicare and commercial insurance reimbursement
