Responsibilities
- Generate, review, and distribute accurate invoices for medical services rendered
- Reconcile insurance payments and patient accounts to resolve discrepancies
- Process refunds and adjustments while maintaining strict audit trails
- Collaborate with insurance companies to resolve claim denials and underpayments
- Ensure HIPAA compliance in all billing documentation and communications
- Monthly reporting of key billing metrics and revenue cycle performance
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with CPT/ICD-10 coding knowledge
- Proficiency in Epic or similar EHR billing systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for account reconciliation
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills for patient and insurer interactions
- Ability to manage high-volume accounts in a fast-paced environment
