Responsibilities
- Process and post patient and insurance claims with 100% accuracy and compliance.
- Generate and issue invoices to clients and internal departments promptly.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances to ensure timely collection.
- Resolve billing discrepancies, errors, and patient inquiries with professionalism.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain detailed financial logs and records.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Medical Billing preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or accounts receivable.
- Proficiency in billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, or similar) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
