Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes for 500+ healthcare accounts
- Resolve complex insurance claim denials within 48 hours
- Analyze AR aging reports to accelerate cash flow
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate coding
- Implement process improvements using Cerner EHR data
- Conduct monthly billing audits for compliance
- Train staff on new billing protocols and regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years medical billing experience in California
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) credential required
- Expertise in CPT/ICD-10 coding and CMS-1500 forms
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP/PivotTable proficiency
- Familiarity with California Medicaid Medi-Cal policies
- Experience with NextGen and Epic billing systems
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills
