Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing processes including claim submission, follow-up, and resolution
- Analyze and reconcile accounts receivable reports to ensure timely reimbursement
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits coordination for patient services
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate coding and documentation
- Implement process improvements to reduce claim denials and optimize revenue flow
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Utilize Epic and EHR systems for billing and documentation management
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR platforms
- Strong analytical skills with experience in AR aging and denial analysis
- Excellent communication abilities for patient and provider interactions
- Detail-oriented with proven track record in error reduction
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or related field
