- Conduct regular audits of charge tickets and encounter forms for compliance
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper coding and documentation
- Generate monthly financial reports and analyze billing metrics
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance in all billing operations
- Train new staff on billing protocols and system navigation
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a clinical or hospital setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) credential
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency in Epic, NextGen, or similar EHR billing platforms
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with third-party payer negotiations and appeals processes
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field
