Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and private payers
- Manage accounts receivable collections and follow-up on outstanding balances
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through effective communication with insurance providers
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CPT, and ICD-10 coding regulations
- Maintain detailed patient billing records in Epic EHR system
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for financial analysis
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify patient eligibility and coverage
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Proficiency in Epic, Medisoft, or similar billing software
- Strong knowledge of CPT/HCPCS coding and insurance claim processes
- Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
