Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes for healthcare services including claim submission, payment posting, and account reconciliation
- Resolve billing discrepancies and patient inquiries with exceptional customer service
- Analyze aging reports and implement strategies to optimize accounts receivable
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate coding and documentation compliance
- Maintain strict HIPAA compliance in all billing operations
- Utilize Epic EHR and practice management systems for efficient workflow
- Monthly reporting on key performance metrics for financial leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency in billing software (Epic, Athenahealth, or similar)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial detail
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across departments
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Finance required
