Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95%+ accuracy across multiple payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies through proactive communication with patients and insurers
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and identify outstanding balances
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and Louisiana state billing regulations
- Utilize Epic EHR and NextGen billing software for daily operations
- Train junior staff on billing protocols and best practices
- Generate monthly financial reports for department leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Proficiency in CPT/HCPCS coding and ICD-10 diagnosis coding
- Expert knowledge of EOB analysis and claim adjustment reason codes
- Advanced Excel skills with pivot table and VLOOKUP capabilities
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Experience with Louisiana Medicaid/Medicare programs
