Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95%+ accuracy
- Reconcile patient accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
- Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to service
- Manage denial appeals and follow-up on outstanding balances
- Collaborate with coding teams to ensure CPT/ICD-10 compliance
- Generate monthly revenue cycle reports for leadership
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation systems
Qualifications
- 3+ years medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Epic or NextGen EHR systems
- Strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding guidelines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with claim scrubbers and denial management tools
- Ability to multitask in high-volume healthcare environment
- Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field
