Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims to optimize reimbursement
- Manage accounts receivable and resolve billing discrepancies efficiently
- Conduct thorough audits of patient accounts to ensure compliance
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers and patients regarding billing matters
- Utilize Epic and Meditech systems for billing operations
- Generate monthly billing reports and financial analyses
- Stay updated on HIPAA regulations and billing best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in Epic, Meditech, or similar EHR/billing software
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) preferred
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities for patient and insurer interactions
- Associate's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field
