Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries and resolving account issues efficiently.
- Identify and cross-sell financial products, such as credit cards, savings accounts, and investment options, to meet member needs.
- Ensure strict adherence to all bank security policies, compliance regulations (BSA/AML), and audit procedures.
- Maintain accurate daily cash balances and reconcile the teller drawer at the end of each shift.
- Assist in opening new accounts and guiding members through the onboarding process.
- Perform routine cash drawer audits and balance verification.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree in finance or business is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of previous banking or retail cash handling experience preferred.
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency with core banking software (e.g., FIS, TellerWorks, or similar).
- Excellent mathematical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required by branch schedule.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance (if applicable for branch travel).
