Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately handle cash deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments for customers.
- Customer Service: Provide professional, friendly, and efficient service to all customers, answering inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Product Sales: Identify opportunities to cross-sell our banking products, such as savings accounts, CDs, and credit cards.
- Cash Management: Maintain accurate cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions to ensure all balances match.
- Security Compliance: Adhere to strict bank security protocols, including Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist in opening new accounts, processing paperwork, and maintaining customer files.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the branch manager and teller team to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Bank Teller or in a retail banking environment is highly preferred.
- Skills: Strong cash handling skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and bank-specific software (e.g., FIS, TellerForce) is a plus.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by branch schedules.
