Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately and efficiently handle a high volume of daily cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and check cashing.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries regarding accounts and services, and resolve issues promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Product Sales: Identify cross-selling opportunities and educate customers on our various banking products, such as loans, savings accounts, and credit cards.
- Cash Management: Maintain accurate daily cash drawers, balance transactions at the end of the shift, and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Compliance: Adhere to all banking regulations, security protocols, and internal policies to protect customer assets and bank integrity.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist in maintaining the lobby environment, managing mail, and handling new account openings or form processing.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Finance or Business is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience as a bank teller or in a customer service role within the financial services industry is preferred.
- Skills: Strong mathematical aptitude, proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and banking software (e.g., FIS, Jack Henry), and cash handling experience.
- Attributes: Excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and ethics.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required by branch schedules.
