Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions accurately, including cash deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing, ensuring strict adherence to security protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving issues with professionalism and efficiency.
- Cross-sell bank products and services, such as savings accounts, credit cards, and mortgages, to meet individual client needs.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions to ensure financial accuracy and accountability.
- Maintain a clean and organized teller workstation and lobby area, adhering to all branch operational standards.
- Assist in the opening of new accounts and the collection of required documentation and identification.
- Identify and refer potential sales leads to relationship managers to support the bankās growth objectives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associateās degree in Finance or Business is a plus.
- Previous experience as a Bank Teller or in a customer service role is preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions with high precision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport with diverse customers and handle difficult situations with patience and diplomacy.
- Must pass a background check, credit check, and drug screen.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and bank software systems (e.g., FIS, TellerWorks).
