Responsibilities
- Process Transactions: Accurately and efficiently handle daily cash transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments.
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, answer inquiries regarding account balances and services, and resolve issues with a solution-oriented approach.
- Sales & Cross-Selling: Identify opportunities to recommend and open new products, such as CDs, IRAs, and checking accounts, to meet branch goals.
- Account Maintenance: Assist customers with completing new account applications, setting up direct deposits, and updating personal information.
- Security & Compliance: Adhere to all bank policies, regulatory requirements, and security procedures to ensure the safety of funds and customer data.
- Drawer Management: Maintain accurate cash drawers and balance daily reports at the end of each shift.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Finance or related field is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Bank Teller, Customer Service Representative, or in a retail cash handling role is preferred but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates.
- Skillset: Strong mathematical skills with the ability to handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts simply.
- Technology: Proficiency in using banking software and POS systems.
- Character: Professional demeanor, high ethical standards, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
