Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of daily transactions, including cash deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and loan payments, ensuring accuracy and adherence to security protocols.
- Greet customers warmly and provide professional, friendly, and efficient service to resolve inquiries and address banking needs.
- Accurately balance cash drawers and prepare daily reports and settlements.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and refer customers to appropriate representatives for products such as mortgages, personal loans, and investment services.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to all regulatory compliance and internal control procedures.
- Assist in opening new accounts and answering routine customer questions regarding account policies and services.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required; prior banking experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse customer groups.
- Excellent mathematical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required by branch operations.
- Familiarity with financial software and point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of banking products and services is highly desirable.
- Candidate must pass a background check and credit check as part of the hiring process.
