Responsibilities
- Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments with 100% accuracy
- Resolve account discrepancies and escalate complex issues to branch managers
- Actively promote bank products and services to meet cross-selling targets
- Maintain strict compliance with federal regulations (BANK SECrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering)
- Safeguard cash and sensitive customer information using dual-control protocols
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile daily transactions
- Train new tellers on operational procedures and compliance standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college coursework in finance preferred
- Minimum 1 year cash handling experience in retail or banking
- Proven ability to maintain 100% transaction accuracy under pressure
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations and security protocols
- Exceptional communication skills with multilingual capabilities a plus
- Proficiency in banking software (e.g., Fiserv, Jack Henry)
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Favorable background check and credit history
