Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and authorization prior to payment.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including coding, batching, and posting transactions.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to answer queries and resolve payment issues.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and financial reporting as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files and master data.
- Review and approve expense reports for compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- 1-3 years of proven experience in an Accounts Payable role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
