Responsibilities
- Process and verify high-volume invoices for accuracy and completeness in a timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies to maintain positive vendor relationships.
- Manage the accounts payable sub-ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and adjustments.
- Review and approve employee expense reports in accordance with company policy.
- Prepare and distribute monthly statements to vendors and internal departments.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting software or process improvements.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors in data entry.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
