The Role:
As our Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring that vendor invoices are processed timely and accurately. You will play a crucial role in maintaining healthy cash flow and vendor relationships.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify high-volume invoices for accuracy, completeness, and authorization in accordance with company policies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and issue payments via checks, ACH, or wire transfers.
- Manage the AP general ledger accounts and ensure proper documentation.
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment status and inquiries.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP).
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Understanding of GAAP principles and general accounting functions.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during weekend shifts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
