Responsibilities
- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Manage the AP inbox, prioritizing urgent payments and vendor inquiries.
- Assist in the monthly close process by preparing supporting documentation.
- Utilize ERP software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) to enter and track financial data.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for audit compliance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years of direct experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to detect errors in financial data.
- Excellent communication skills for vendor interactions.
