The Role:
In this key role, you will manage the full cycle of accounts payable, ensuring accuracy and timely payments to our valued vendors. You will act as a financial gatekeeper, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining healthy vendor relationships.
Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Accurately review, code, and process incoming invoices in our accounting software within 24-48 hours of receipt.
- Reconciliation: Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved immediately.
- Vendor Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries, resolving payment issues and negotiating terms where necessary.
- Expense Reporting: Review and approve employee expense reports, ensuring adherence to company reimbursement policies.
- Financial Analysis: Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, providing variance analysis and reporting to the Finance Manager.
- System Maintenance: Maintain the vendor master file and update account codes to ensure data integrity.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or NetSuite is required. Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) are essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain data accuracy in high-volume processing environments.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Organization: Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a remote setting.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
