Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing finance team in Indianapolis, IN.
As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process incoming invoices for accuracy and completeness.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving reports to ensure validity.
- Prepare and issue payments via ACH, wire transfers, and checks in a timely manner.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any billing discrepancies or queries.
- Maintain accurate records in the accounting system and generate AP aging reports.
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment status and billing inquiries.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and ad-hoc financial reporting tasks.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of proven experience in Accounts Payable or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
