Responsibilities
- Invoice Processing: Accurately and timely process a high volume of invoices, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and payment authorizations.
- Vendor Management: Maintain and update vendor master data, including W-9s and banking information, to ensure compliance and smooth transactions.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts payable statements, resolve billing discrepancies, and investigate vendor inquiries efficiently.
- Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly AP reports, variance analysis, and general ledger account reconciliations.
- System Management: Utilize ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) to track payments and manage the AP workflow.
- Compliance: Ensure all AP activities comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in Accounts Payable or a similar finance role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred; Associate’s degree with significant experience will be considered.
- Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of accounting software (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and inconsistencies in financial data.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal departments.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
