Apex Financial Solutions is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic finance team in Phoenix, AZ. We are currently offering an immediate hire opportunity for a self-starter who excels in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining our financial health by ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices. You will collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and streamline financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Process and verify all incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and coding.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any billing discrepancies or errors.
- Manage the accounts payable ledger, ensuring all payments are recorded correctly.
- Maintain and update vendor master files and payment terms.
- Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payment status and outstanding invoices.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and prepare financial reports.
- Filing and organizing physical and digital financial records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- 1-2 years of verifiable experience in Accounts Payable or General Ledger.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, vlookup) required.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment.
