Responsibilities
- Process Invoices: Verify, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system with high accuracy.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized, up-to-date files of accounts payable transactions and supporting documents.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reports as needed.
- Vendor Liaison: Communicate effectively with vendors regarding payments and inquiries.
- Expense Management: Review and process employee expense reports and travel vouchers.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting functions.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software; advanced Excel skills required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain data integrity.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for vendor interaction.
