Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded timely and correctly.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, to support decision-making.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements on a weekly basis to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring vendor and client invoices are paid accurately and on time.
- Generate and present detailed financial reports to management to track budget performance and variances.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles, financial reporting standards, and tax compliance requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage a high volume of tasks efficiently.
