Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements using Xero/Sage
- Manage multi-currency transactions and reconcile international bank accounts
- Lead month-end closing processes with VAT/PAYroll submissions
- Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes with 3-way matching
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual reviews
Qualifications
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent professional certification
- Minimum 3 years UK accounting experience in practice or industry
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query)
- Expert knowledge of UK GAAP and HMRC compliance requirements
- Experience with cloud accounting platforms (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to numerical precision
- Ability to manage competing deadlines in fast-paced environments
