Responsibilities
- Manage General Ledger: Maintain accurate financial records, reconcile bank statements, and manage accounts payable and receivable with precision.
- Weekly Payroll Support: Assist in processing payroll transactions and ensure all financial data is accurately reflected for weekly distribution.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
- Compliance & Tax: Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and tax regulations in the state of Ohio.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve internal controls.
- Client Communication: Liaise with clients and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and provide financial insights.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and ensure data integrity.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and Ohio tax laws.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
