Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts: Oversee accounts payable and receivable to ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and on time.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns.
- Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices comply with local New York state regulations and GAAP standards.
- Payroll Support: Assist in payroll processing to ensure accurate and timely employee compensation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Experience: 2-4 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel (Advanced), and accounting software.
- Licensure: CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
