Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to ensure data integrity.
- Process payroll entries and ensure tax filings are completed on time and accurately.
- Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and tax seasons.
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation for auditing purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA designation is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and MS Excel (Advanced functions required).
- Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
