Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations including month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities
- Prepare and audit tax returns while ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Lead process improvement initiatives using ERP systems (SAP/Oracle experience preferred)
- Mentor junior accounting staff and cross-departmental financial stakeholders
- Develop annual budgets and forecasts with variance analysis reporting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/MBA required)
- 5+ years progressive accounting experience in public/private sectors
- Advanced proficiency in GAAP, IRS regulations, and SOX compliance
- Expertise in financial modeling, variance analysis, and KPI reporting
- Proven experience with ERP implementations (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite)
- Strong leadership skills with ability to manage complex projects
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
