Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss reports.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings in strict compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and prevent financial discrepancies.
- Process payroll and ensure all timecards, deductions, and tax withholdings are accurate for our weekly pay cycle.
- Conduct internal audits to maintain internal controls and financial integrity.
- Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and budget recommendations.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- 2+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or accounting firm setting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
