Responsibilities
- Manage daily general ledger accounting functions and ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss reports.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and local business compliance reports.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts to resolve discrepancies.
- Conduct internal audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support to management and clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3+ years of professional accounting experience preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
