Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements in accordance with UK GAAP.
- Ensure strict compliance with HMRC regulations, including VAT returns and tax filings.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and variance analysis to identify financial trends.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory audits and supporting schedules.
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure accurate coding of transactions.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, AAT, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Proven experience as an Accountant or Finance Controller within the UK market.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial data clearly to stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
