Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers and journals.
- Process invoices, reconcile accounts, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Assist with year-end audits and statutory reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and company policies.
- Handle payroll processing and ensure weekly payments are accurate and timely.
- Review and improve internal financial controls and processes.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ACA qualified or AAT Level 4 (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a UK accounting environment.
- Strong working knowledge of accounting software (Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance staff.
- Valid right to work in the UK.
