Responsibilities
- Perform accurate and timely processing of daily and weekly financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure 100% accuracy.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements for management review.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure all deductions and tax withholdings are calculated correctly.
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Support the month-end and year-end close process with a focus on weekend milestones.
- Identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions to improve financial processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- CPA certification or active pursuit thereof is a plus.
