Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy.
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts monthly.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and laws.
- Perform internal audits and assist external auditors during the review process.
- Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis for management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate setting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel (Advanced).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
