Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliation.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns.
- Conduct internal audits and review financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are timely and correctly classified.
- Collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits and tax seasons.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations for cost reduction and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong working knowledge of financial reporting standards and regulatory compliance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot discrepancies quickly.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
