Responsibilities
- Manage and prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP.
- Perform daily account reconciliations for general ledger accounts, bank statements, and credit card statements.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits and financial reviews to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Collaborate with department heads to prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Maintain and organize financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation for audit purposes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (CPA certification is highly preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities with the ability to present complex financial data clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
