Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings and external audits.
- Monitor and analyze financial data to assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and internal control policies.
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to present financial information clearly.
