Role Overview
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting and reconciliation, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure timely filing.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Process payroll and manage expense reports accurately.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure internal controls are followed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
