The Role:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations. You will play a key role in our month-end and year-end close processes.
Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage cash flow, and ensure timely payments to vendors while monitoring accounts receivable.
- Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of federal and state tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Audit Support: Provide documentation and support to external auditors during annual audits.
- Expense Analysis: Review and analyze expense reports to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Certification: CPA or CMA certification is preferred; otherwise, a strong background in accounting principles.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups). Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in complex data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting financial data to management.
