Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in strict accordance with GAAP standards.
- Reconciliation: Perform accurate and timely reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the full cycle of AP and AR, including processing invoices, ensuring payments are made on time, and managing collections.
- Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns; ensure compliance with changing tax regulations.
- Payroll: Support the payroll process by maintaining accurate records and assisting with payroll tax filings.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve internal controls.
- Budgeting: Collaborate with management to prepare annual budgets and monitor budget versus actual performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Experience: 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience; immediate hire candidates with strong academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
- Licensure: CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel (advanced functions), and ERP systems.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
