The Role:
In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of our financial records and providing timely reporting to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and implement controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
- Utilize financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to maintain accurate digital records.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or candidate status is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) and accounting software.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect discrepancies in data.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
